| Brief Abstract | Rural substance abusers present with co-occurring disorders and functionality problems. This study examines clients' history of head injury as a predictor of treatment outcomes and as an indicator of symptom complexity and severity at baseline. A screening instrument is being piloted for obtaining head injury history and information about sequelae to the injury as a way of infering likely problems relating to substance abuse recovery. |
