| Brief Abstract | The cognitive changes between normal aging and dementia is now widely referred to as Mild Cognitive Impairment (MCI). It is a subject of public health importance as subjects with MCI develop dementia at 12 % per year as compared to the general population of 1 %.
We are now measuring the prevalence of neuropsychiatric symptoms in a population-based setting in Rochester, Minnesota. To date, neuropsychiaric data have been collected from over 1500 cognitively normal elderly persons. |
