The American Neuropsychiatric Association (ANPA), established in 1988, is a non-profit organization of professionals in neuropsychiatry, behavioral neurology, neuropsychology and the clinical neurosciences. ANPA has over 700 members from around the world.  It holds a scientific meeting each year in the early spring and provides up to 30 CME/CE credits.

Dr.Gary J. Tucker Award Fund
ANPA and is presented to individuals whose careers have best exemplified the professional and personal values of Dr. Tucker. These values include academic leadership in Neuropsychiatry; courage; commitment; mentoring, and scholarship. Trainee Travel Scholarship Fund
The Trainee Travel Scholarship Fund has been established to assist members in training with the expenses associated with attending the ANPA Annual Meeting.  The amount of each stipend will depend on the number of applicants and the amount of money raised.

Special Interest Groups
ANPA has established Special Interest Groups (SIGs) to draw together ANPA members with similar clinical, research, and academic interests for the purposes of peer discussion, education, and potential collaboration.  The current list of SIGs includes:  Clinical Practice, Dementia, Developmental Disorders, Epilepsy, fMRI, Forensic, Global Health Initiative, Pediatrics, Movement Disorders and TBI. If you are interested in joining a SIG please contact the ANPA office: anpa@osu.edu

Important Deadline

Behavioral Neurology & Neuropsychiatry Certification Examination
Applications for the 2012 Behavioral Neurology & Neuropsychiatry certification examination will be available in February 2012. The exam is scheduled for four hours and will have 200 multiple-choice questions that are computer-based.

Practice Track Applicants (last opportunity)
The original practice track pathway of application was scheduled to close on the last day of the application cycle for the 2011 Behavioral Neurology & Neuropsychiatry examination. Since the Behavioral Neurology & Neuropsychiatry examination is not scheduled in 2011, the practice track pathway has been extended and will now close on the last day of the application cycle for the 2012 Behavioral Neurology & Neuropsychiatry examination.
